Remo Layne Redmond tambourine
The Layne Redmond REMO Signature Drums showcase a family of frame drums derived from the Middle Eastern, North African and Mediterranean traditions - some with origins dating back over 8000 years.
All of these Remo tambourines are true professional level instruments. Remo signature artist Layne Redmond designed these tambourines, based on traditional instruments but with Remo's modern touches including Acousticon synthetic shells with a lightly stained maple veneer shell, blue aqua finish and Fiberskyn heads that are unaffected by weather.
Lotus Tambourine Featuring lighter jingles and a larger diameter than the traditional Riq, this new style of tambourine offers a larger sound and more adaptability for contemporary ensembles. The Lotus Tambourine is a cross between Middle Eastern and Western orchestral tambourines and features an internal hand grip and five sets of German silver jingles. This is the lightest and easiest of the Layne Redmond tambourines to play. Recommended for beginners through professionals. This is the tambourine Layne performs and records with most often. It is also the tambourine in the recent Stevie Nick's Style Icon spread!!
